Déjà vu time, we have been here before. However, we were then faced with a closed door because of a company outing. We thought it was time to go there again. Would they have another company outing?

From Central Station take the metro to Weesperplein or Wibautstraat. From there it is about a 5 minute walk.

Environment

Well situated on the Amstel. In good weather this is a great place. In bad weather too!

Realm

The Ysbreeker is a beautiful place to eat and drink. It has the appearance of a distinguished library. Upon entering, the enormous space immediately stood out. We were guided to a cozy and pleasant corner and shortly after we were able to place our order.

Choices

One! The Ysbreeker burger. It might have been nice to have an extra burger on the menu. But since it's a restaurant and not a burger joint, it's still understandable.

As mentioned, only 1 burger available, the Ysbreeker burger. According to the menu: a burger of Baambrugs free-range beef with smokey Bourbon BBQ sauce, cheese and fries. We didn't have to wait long for our burgers to be on the table. The typical of a good restaurant was also immediately noticeable, the plate on which our burgers and fries were served was warm. A first for The BurgerBoys.

After taking the first bite, we immediately noticed that this burger was surprisingly pink on the inside and slightly caramelized on the outside. A daring choice by the chef, who shows balls in this way and simply has confidence in his meat. The meat was therefore also nice and juicy, but not too juicy. The bun is a brioche bun that just covered the load. It did not become soggy because it was well toasted on the inside. The BBQ salsa sauce was a welcome change for us. All in all a burger without frills. Maybe bacon would have completed the whole.
