What could be better than enjoying a bite to eat and a drink on a terrace in summer conditions? Then one has to be found. Since there were not many terraces left and we really wanted one, a suitable alternative had to be found. Rose's Cantina turned out to be that alternative. Read the spicy review here.

Ten minutes by tram 1,2 or 5 and get off at the Koningsplein stop. Then two minutes walk in the Reguliersdwarsstraat.

Environment

The Reguliersdwarsstraat is a cozy street where there is plenty to do. But at Rose's Cantina we used the backyard. A bit of green around us at the burger.

Rose's Cantina is located in the cozy Reguliersdwarsstraat. It is a nice Mexican place with a terrace in the backyard.

The citizen

A well seasoned burger Mexican style and that is good to taste. We were pleasantly surprised by this. The fact is that you have to be in the mood for this. You could discover small pieces of pepper in the burger. The burger is nice and also just juicy enough. It is a burger with character. The bun is good and could take everything, this one could have been grilled briefly. A good lettuce was served on the side (rocket mix) and together with the fries this was nicely presented on a wooden board.

The fries

For a change, no Flemish or standard fries. No, we got sweet potato fries. And that was an interesting change. Unfortunately, we found it a bit too little. These fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. And the combination with chipotle mayonnaise gave the whole thing the necessary spice. These sweet potato fries give the whole thing just that little bit extra.

+ The atmosphere of a private garden.

Negatives

– Few fries.
– No (citizen) choice.
– The sandwich could have been grilled.
– You just have to feel like it.
